 Jennifer Hobgood is HSUS's Florida State Director, overseeing legislative and lobbying activities in that state. (Click here for HSUS's Florida-specific Facebook page.)

Hobgood joined HSUS in 2005 after spending eight years as an English teacher. After Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in 2005, Hobgood played a leading role in HSUS's activities in Mississippi, for which the organization was investigated for its fund-raising tactics.

She is a registered lobbyist in the state of Florida and holds a Ph.D. in English from Florida State University.
