The HSUS “oracle” (i.e., Jordan Matyas) referred to in the Chicago Tribune article also said that no one (in rescue) can foster more than 4 dogs properly. He said this at one of the anti-breeder meetings in Springfield, Illinois. Now, just because he can’t walk and chew gum at the same time doesn’t mean that everyone else is as incapacitated as he is. The “facts” spewed by HSUS are never backed with verifiable facts. I do rescue, and certainly can foster more than 4 dogs properly, and so can many of the other able bodied rescuers in this state.
