So, looking at just the first sentence of the “HSUS is already threatening Ohioans,” it looks like HSUS can now add some more threats to its proud list of accomplishments.  The first sentence of the article is “The Humane Society is threatening to revive a planned Ohio ballot issue against animal cruelty if a deal with farmers fails to win final state approval.”  So, if they don’t get their way in this deal, they’ll just get it another way—by “threatening”!  Wow.

What I find really scary is the fact that this group which by their own admission only has 1.25 million followers (compared to our total population)  has such control over our government. What is their end goal anyway?  He who controls the food supply controls the country. They speak of their “grassroots movement” . It’s time we had one in favor of agriculture as it exists now.  Farmers by nature are an independent lot but this issue is so important all need to band together to fight off this one cause.

Does any member of the Ohio Agriculture Board have the guts to say…..

“Mr. Pacelle, you can take your $5-per-dozen eggs and shove ‘em!”

Regarding the claims by HSUS that they haven been a part of the network of help for Katrina reconstruction through the use of grants to a few shelters, I noticed that those grants also included $80,000 in grant money for the salary of shelter directors.  All grants have strings attached by the grantor.  It would seem that especially when a grant is earmarked for shelter director salaries, the string as well as the likely selection of shelter director is obvious.  While HSUS cannot claim that they own or run a shelter, it would seem that they are making every effort (off the books) of doing just that.

Everyone in America is used to seeing press photo ops when HSUS sponsors an event.  They are proud to lead the way to solve some crisis—and yet their generous support with the largest cash donation ever was not covered on CNN—where 3 of the hosts are active supporters of HSUS???  Hmm.  As Judge Judy says, “If it doesn’t make sense, it isn’t likely true.”
