Humane Bites #31: Ellen Degeneres Is Humorous (So We’re Told)
Clippings culled from all over the electronic news world. (E-mail submissions for tomorrow.)
-
Ellen "Writes" a comic book, funds "Humane Society," could just be doing "penance" (air-quotes don't work online...)
- Our hero, Troy Hadrick, on HSUS: "Don’t tell me they’re not a 'vegan' organization"
- Read up on how HSUS is targeting your children

WOW, 9 disappeared dogs and that was written over a year ago? Makes one wonder how many cats she’s gone through over the years!
“And to demonstrate her love and concern for needy animals, Ellen DeGeneres” might want to consider at least providing pet support for the animals she’s dumped onto others to help ensure they don’t land in shelters instead of spending so much of her time telling others how to live and doing promos for Halo/herself.

As Regional Coordinator of some western states (including CO) for a national non-profit rescue organization, there are some things people should know about Dumb Friends League and other government shelters in CO. They will not release to rescue groups unless those groups are registered with the Department of Agriculture, paying $175/year. This makes it difficult for rescues to rescue in Colorado. As nonprofits we would rather spend our money on the medical needs of the dogs and not line the coffers of the Dept. of Ag.
*sigh*
Oh Ellen, I loved you once… the irony though, it’s just too much.
Also- glad to see the Dumb Friend’s League as the daily shelter.
Much love from Colorado~

Ironic that a chronic pet dumper would care so much about pets that they would become an owner of a pet care company.
