How the Rich Get Richer
We’ve documented the ridiculous wealth of the Humane Society of the United States many times—the $130 million budgets, the $192 million in assets, the $8.5 million in pension contributions, the $7 million in office furniture and equipment. You get the picture. It seems like HSUS never misses an opportunity to put its institutional hand out for an easy buck.
Today’s example is a blog article from HSUS CEO Wayne Pacelle called “55 Actions for Animals and The HSUS.” Of the 55 bullet-pointed “actions,” at least 20 result in HSUS collecting money from gullible animal lovers.
Nice work if you can get it.
The official HumaneWatch wish list is much, much shorter. Here it is:
- Tell two friends that the Humane Society of the United States is a smarter version of PETA, that it’s not affiliated with any real “humane societies,” and that less than one cent of every dollar it collects supports pet shelters in need.
- Make a financial contribution to an animal shelter near where you live, and adopt a pet if you are able.
What could be simpler? And if you’re not sure about which two friends to tell, it’s okay to tell three. Or ten. Or everyone on your Facebook friend list. We won’t mind.

You should read this statement… Its a little repetitive but it gives a lot of insight to what is happening in animal rescue today with the HSUS ASPCA PETA .. Some information on the attacks of these groups own the farming industry other information such as “farm raids/puppy mill raid’ tactics and donations “scams”... VERY INTERESTING if you read it all! A lot of truth in it. http://tl.gd/3668o7
A friend of mine who owns a dog grooming shop called this afternoon. Seems that one of his very wealthy, elderly clients showed up early to pick up her dog from grooming. While she was waiting, she read the two posters from HW that I had posted—“7things you probably didn’t know AND “Surprised”. When my friend finally brought out her dog, she remarked that she had no idea that was the sort of organization HSUS was. She had been sending them a thousand dollars each year. In her words, “they’ll never get another dime from ME!” Priceless.

I’m glad you found Helen Hunt article and put it here.
Its the truth, I hope HW would put this on the front page so everyone will find it and read it. She said a lot of things I wanted to say but didn’t really know how. Those three AR groups need to be jailed and never be released, I truly hate them. It is a good read.
Thank You

I give credit where it’s due. With the order-of-magnitude increase in the slander of HumaneWatch and the CCF which “Hillary”, “Kiley”, “Sarah” and all the other H$U$ sockpuppets engage in on a daily basis on any and/or every animal-related blog they can find, I think I can safely say you have the H$U$ running scared. In fact, I bet you’ve already started impacting them in the one place they actually feel the pain - their wallet. Keep up the good work!
