The Weekly Watch #17: The Line Between HSUS and PETA Gets Blurrier
If you were reading HumaneWatch all week, you learned ...
- HSUS’s phony shareholder activism and its bogus Federal Trade Commission complaints are straight out of the PETA playbook
- One Wisconsin pet shelter paid big bucks for an HSUS evaluation, got “garbage”
- HSUS's lobbying arm may be able to run shady attack ads in future elections (without any pesky disclosure requirements)
- Michael Markarian isn't against all hunting—just all forms of killing for food that aren't performed for survival in Alaska (it's good to clear that up)
- ...and 301-258-8276 is the magic phone number for anyone who wants to stop payment on their HSUS pledge
Come back next week for more truth-telling, research-sharing, and analysis of America's richest animal rights group! (If you need your HumaneWatch fix over the weekend, there's always Facebook.)

What’s the problem with Peta?
Plently of people that really love animals are against hunting. I am.
Does that make me a bad person now because I do not share your views? I thought the purpose of this site was to assure money was really going to the right place, not to bash others.
My mistake.
One of the best things a person, anyone, can do for dogs and cats is to support your local shelters and rescue groups. There are thousands of animals abandoned in your area who need help so dive right in there.
The old adage, “Think global, work and donate locally.”
