Inga Fricke

Inga Fricke is the Director of Sheltering Initiatives at the Humane Society of the United States. Prior to her employment with HSUS, she worked as an environmental lawyer. Fricke also wrote scholarly articles on environmental law, including one that explained how environmental activists could limit or block mining initiatives.

Fricke graduated from Penn State University. She left the practice of law in 2001 to enter the animal-control field, serving first as Shelter Manager with the Loudon County (Virginia) Department of Animal Care and Control. Fricke resigned from that position in June 2010 to work for HSUS instead.
