Cristobel “Kitty” Block is the interim president and CEO of Humane Society. Previously she was the head of the Humane Society International. There she oversaw HSI efforts to enforce several animal-rights agreements, including the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora and Species Survival Network, the International Whaling Commission, and the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission.
Before joining HSUS, she was an employee at PETA. She received a law degree from George Washington University in 1990.
