Sarah Uhlemann is a former staff attorney with Animal Protection Litigation at HSUS. She represented HSUS in its lawsuit against the US Secretary of Agriculture over the Humane Slaughter Act's exclusion of poultry species. She now works on "public-lands protection" for the environmental group Center for Biological Diversity. She graduated in 2005 from the Lewis & Clark Law School in Oregon, where she was on the staff of the "Northwest Environmental Defense Center."
