New HumaneWatch Billboard Hits NYC

We got a great response to our four ads running in the D.C. Metro system this summer that exposed the so-called “Humane Society” of the United States (HSUS) for giving only 1 percent of the money it raises to pet shelters. (The group also doesn’t run any pet shelters of its own.) Readers loved it, and it seems we struck a nerve at HSUS, which started running its own ads on Metro and local radio.

    This is awsome … Hit the HAUS where its hurts their pocket book… I would like to see these in my town and all over the us

    Once I realized how little they helped with shelter work and funding I pulled my support. I’ve got to say that if they put as much money into helping the animals they say they do instead of sending me letters, calendars, and address labels trying to get my support back, a whole lot of animals would benefit. Shameful.

    I quit supporting them once I saw that they were supporting Michael Vick having a dog. That is disgusting and not something any true animal lover would support.
